She then stood there arguing with me, the CUSTOMER.

THIS IS NOT A UPS STORE! They do not offer the UPS shipping supplies UPS wants you to use for free (boxes, bags, labels, etc.), they want you to buy theirs. They only offer the same UPS services as a drop box does. I gave this place gets 2 stars because the Notary service is ok although very limited hours of availability.

I have used the McDowell UPS Store for years and have always had great experiences…until today. I walked in with a box that I needed help finishing up. The contents are fragile and I told the girl behind the counter that I needed help with the bubble wrap/padding. She said she’d have to charge me for packaging the box or the bubble wrap rolls are over there. I went over to look at the bubble wrap rolls. There were way too many to choose from. I told her I didn’t know what size to get. She started telling me there were small bubble, medium bubble, etc. I told her I still didn’t know what I needed. Rather than HELPING me, with a complete attitude, she told me it’s common sense. I still can’t believe those words came out of her mouth. Common sense? I don’t care how annoyed a customer may make you, that is not acceptable. I said what did you just say to me?. She then stood there arguing with me, the CUSTOMER. I said, do you hear how you’re speaking to me?. She said I’m speaking to you like this because you’re giving me sass. This was all said IN FRONT of the Tim, the manager, who stood there and did absolutely nothing. We use this store for notaries and every package my family ships. I am not only floored and in disbelief that I was spoken to that way, I am even more shocked that the manager stood there and did nothing to correct this behavior. Completely unacceptable.

I’ve been coming to this facility for so long and they not only know me, they help me to print out the darn label on my phone since I don’t have a printer at home. They always ask if I need more peanuts (protection for fragile items) and are ALWAYS IN A GREAT PLACE = MOOD. Ive come in there being so stressed trying to get my packages out and the next thing I know, their calmness is infectious and I feel like I just accomplished climbing a small mountain when I leave. I love my local UPS Store and ALL OF THERE employee’s.Unfortunately, I went there the other day to return two packages and when I walked up to the counter, we both looked down to see vendor had shipped UPS to me, but FEDEX for the return. Therefore, I had to go to the other side of town by the swim center to send out. To tell you the difference was night and day, heaven and hell, fire and ice, butcher and axe murderer … Being disabled and unable to stand for more than 5 minutes before my leg and back go bad and I just want to cry. So this really up beat man with dreads comes over to help. Explains that they can’t print my label (like UPS ). So, I had to call vendor, while in line, and wait until they could email the FEDEX email address. While waiting, I asked the female employee why we had to do it this way – her response, because we don’t have a printer. Now mind you, this is fairly large facility has just about every new copier, cutting and binding machine in the place, but not a “printer”. By now I’m passed my healthy leg and back standing stage and haven’t slept in three days either, so I asked her how can FEDEX, not have a printer, she gets testy and says I don’t know and says that the manager (man in dreads) will be back momentarily. So manager comes back out, goes around and apologizes to everyone about their delay that they will be helped as quickly as possible – happy holidays to everyone. Now, I’ve had vendor on the phone since the other lady walked away and left me because she didn’t want to talk to them. Store manager finally (now a total of 10 min holding) comes over to talk, gets what he needs and viola, label ready package can now go when we tape it on.What it all boiled down to was, they did not have a wireless printer. Well hell bells my UPS store doesn’t own one either, email themselves and print out – ta da. Not so hard at all, but made it had on me.
