Shady bait and switch deal. UPS shipping estimate for a 10lb 30x10x10 from San Diego to Illinois was $53. I didn’t have a box so I figured I could just buy a box from them for a couple bucks.UPS store quoted me in person at $98! They said they didn’t have a box that size and that I had to use a box about twice the size.After cutting me a deal the price went down to $84, then with all the add on charges ($7.99 for a box! $2 to print a label, $4 to put it in a box, etc.) All in, $107. My back was against a wall and I had to ship today so I said ok, knowing I’d be writing this review immediately after.I would avoid shipping anything via UPS store in the future, seems like a scam.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. However the employees and owner are strange, comments, behavior, etc.. Then today I shipped a bicycle 2 of 2 and I commented that I found a service that is half the price than I paid at this location the last time (3 days earlier). He said he knew the service that clearly has a contract with UPS. Good customer service would have been to suggest to me the first time that I could pay the $443 or go onto this other service and pay only $207. I asked him directly if this was the most inexpensive service that he knew of. Instead he (I think the owner) neglected to tell me so he could pocket $200. I will not be going back to this store.
