Second time here. Very tender and delicious brisket. I order moist so it comes with more fat mingled into the meat. I’m very glad they give choices. Staff very friendly. There was a line out the door at lunch proving its popularity. My wife had ribs where the meat was falling off the bone.

The food was delicious, but I’d have to disagree this place was kid friendly. No kids menu, which was fine as we just got a couple of plates to share among us all. But not being from Texas, my kids aren’t used to everything having a bit of heat to it. The mac & cheese was too spicy for them.And my wife had to change our son’s diaper on the floor as there was no changing table in the ladies’ room.For a place that offers familial style dining, a couple of things could be done to make it easier for families with younger kids.But as ever else has said, the brisket was AMAZING!

I’ve NEVER judged a Barbecue place by their sides, that would be against Texas Barbecue Law, but if I did, this place would knick the socks off everyone. Yes, the sides are THAT SPECIAL! But the beauty of The Shed is the MEAT. Wow! This is the real deal in Texas Barbecue. I’ve tried all their meats at one point or another and have been blown away every time. Each time I visit Abilene, my trip is always planned around a feast at The Shed. Kudos for The Shed doing it right.
