One of my all time favorite book stores. The owners and employees are well versed in the inventory and romance genre. They are friendly without being overbearing. There is a great little area for little ones to color and a good selection of children’s books. The attic filled with used and vintage romance is a romance lover’s dream. And the restroom alone is worth the visit. The Ripped Bodice is a gift to romance readers in the LA area and my whole family makes the 52 mile trip there a handful of times each year.

Cute bookstore focusing on romantic and erotic novels. The staff was very helpful and they have a cute selection of ‘blind date novels’-books wrapped but with a c summary you can buy.I was personally extremely disappointed by their LGBT section. It’s right near the door, so you have no privacy or coziness in looking the books, it’s ridiculously small-I know there are much more queer romance novels, and better ones. It gives the impression of afterthought. There was really nothing for my friend and I to look at in the this store, we bought a face mask and some pins and left.

The Ripped Bodice is a beautiful store. It has very positive, affirming books, and of course lots of romance to read. The owner and staff are wonderful.
