I met John the NY Barber at a bridal show last winter. The only thing I remembered from the whole day was the incredible mobile barber shop that John was showing. It was so cool looking — great vintage vibes, totally self-contained barber shop, with a lounge area with a dartboard and room for the grooms party to have drinks. I reached out immediately, with plans to surprise my husband to be and his groomsmen with a little pampering the morning of our wedding.Shortly after, COVID came our way, and we had to cancel our venue & completely reevaluate our plans — we downsized to a very small backyard party, and we spoke to John about our changed plans. We were so impressed that he had done specialty training on how to operate safely given the pandemic, and we worked out a new plan with him that was safe and comfortable for everyone involved.John & his assistant were extremely professional, well prepared, and talented. The gentlemen (& ring bearer) all raved about their experience, and they all looked great. He did hair cuts, shaves (with facial steaming), styling, and massages for them. It was extra special, given that barber shops were just reopening, and most of our party had not been to one in many months.John had great tools and amenities. He brought his barber shop to our home the night before, and was totally set up to start bright and early, so there was plenty of time to space people out, and disinfect properly.The guys had had fun playing darts before their turn. I cannot think of anything negative to say —- If you book John for your event, you will not be disappointed and all the men will look great. He even left us with a beautiful house plant (which is thriving!), as a gift.If you have the opportunity, treat yourself to this incredible experience.

Johnny is a one of a kind barber who will make sure your satisfied with your haircut. Such a wonderful gentleman to speak with during the haircut and has the confidence to keep you coming back. If you’re tired of aimlessly going from barber to barber then look no further he’s books by appointment and his truck does move now and then so make sure you keep an eye on his site to make sure you find that truck!

I was originally drawn to this shop because of the curious setup. I had noticed the truck around the neighborhood for a while and wasn’t sure what it was about, but after hearing some news covering it online I figured why not.I’m so glad I did because now after many years of searching I finally have a regular barber again. The experience is fun and John is a great guy, but most importantly my haircuts have been awesome and that’s what will keep me coming back.Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.
