I was able to find what I needed that day, unfortunately when I checked out the clerk inquired about opening a Home Depot credit card. She incorrectly input on the computer system a wrong first name for my account even though I was required to show her my driver’s license as proof of my identity! I called the 800 number to correct the issue and they wanted me to send a copy of my driver’s license to correct the issue. That I refuse to do at this point since I did not create the problem. I returned to the store and two different employees gave me different answers. One said to open another account! Home Depot should give the store manager responsibility to correct such a serious error. I believe that the young employee who I had at the cashier needs to concentrate more and slow down on completing such a transaction with a customer applying for a credit card. Now I have to contact the credit reporting agency to explain my issue. Terrible customer service at this store.

Was just there on 3/30/21. I wanted to buy 15 wheelbarrows. I ask the self checkout guy if someone can help me. Self checkout guy radio’d for a lot associate. 25 minutes later, radio’s 3 times and they never came. I just walked out. Not the first time something like this has happened to me there. I will be shopping at Lowe’s from now on.
