Stopped into the store this weekend. The store has recently re-opened after a remodel and give off a market/shoppe vibe. I purchased fresh grass-fed beef for $6.99 lb. Is that a great price or what?!?! It is fresh and less expensive or same price you get in the chain stores. I believe the beef was 80/20 however, when I cooked it it was not greasy at all. It cooked similar to lean beef which was great and an unexpected surprise. I also tried the garlic bratwurst links and that was really tasty too. Stop into the Green Cow and support local you cannot beat the prices.

This is 2 part. The shop in Cooperstown I give a 5 star. Reynolds is the best, very friendly and knowledgeable. The meat is wonderful as well.However, I only went there to try the meat and learn more about the cuts so I could place a bulk order for a half cow.When I called back to place the order, nobody ever returned my call. I called three times over two weeks, and sent messages through facebook as well. Nothing. For that portion of the business I give a 1 star. The owner was great the first time I spoke with him. I have no idea what happened since then and if it was illness or lack of available meat, I could work with that, but no communication I cannot excuse. Since going to the store was only to get an idea of how to place my bulk order, I have to score them low. Again the store itself, amazing, but bulk ordering… another story.

The meat looks amazing, but we were there to try the cheesecake… It was FABULOUS! I highly recommend you get one to take home!
