Paid a premium and received a very poor product. We commissioned a cake from “The Flower Shop Bakery” to be made for a 4th birthday party. The cake was to be Toy Story themed and pictures were sent ahead of time to give the bakery an idea of what we wanted. The bakery confirmed that they would be able to make the cake.The product that we received was nothing like what we expected. You can see in the photos below that the overall quality of the design was so bad that it was almost comical. The blue icing was hard as cement and tasted bad. The fondant work was jagged and of poor design. The actual cake inside tasted store bought, and for all this we paid $60.00. To top it off they no longer have a store front and we had to meet at the HEB parking lot, which we were informed of one day before receiving the cake. We will not be doing business with the “The Flower Shop Bakery” again.

In the process of partying planning, we had set up a tasting at the Flour Shop and a different local bakery. The Flour Shop was not only better in regards to taste, but they were much more friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had.We ordered a small two-tier lemon cake with blueberry filling for my grandma’s surprise 80th birthday party. We also ordered a dozen chocolate cupcakes to have a more kid-friendly flavor. All of it was a hit. Both the cakes and cupcakes were perfectly fluffy and moist. We elected to have it delivered and they were prompt and on time with their delivery as well. I highly recommend them and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Went this am, choice was good as far as cupcakes went. Had other stuff though maybe not exactly what I was looking for, but still a fair amount. Choose Italian cream cupcake. Cake was very good! Frosting was a little sweet for me but that is personal preference kind of thing. Not as sweet as some cupcakes I have had, but I would have like it a little less sweet. Overall a very nice cupcake!
