The Legoland California website reads, The ultimate LEGO shopping experience, located in The Beginning! Offering the largest selection of LEGO toy sets under one roof, including exclusives and hard-to-find items. NONE OF THAT IS TRUE. It is not worth your time unless you are with kids and tired of rides and want to spend on a worse selection than any other Lego store in a mall. I was in the area by myself and went to The Big Store looking for a particular set for my boy. They charge a full ticket just to shop, then you have to spend $25 to get the ticket price refunded (which took a large chunk of the limited 60 minute time you have inside), then there is the indignity of some ungroomed pimply punk walking you out of the building. The Big Store is a joke: poor selection and rude staff; it is worse than any Lego store in San Diego or Costa Mesa. I am a Lego VIP and have spent lots at Lego over the years, but this terrible experience at The Big Store has ruined it for me.
