Social Profile :

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in White Plains, NY is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

Casual chain restaurant with a festive vibe serving beer, cocktails & a wide menu of American fare.

We go an hour before closing because there’s nothing else open to eat in the area. The lady in the front grabs menus to seat us and then ends up calling someone else to seat us. The waiter comes over and says seating is closed — clearly they were all over the place so we were already getting upset and then I ask if we can order for takeout and enthusiastically she says yes. I look through the menu, ask how many sides a particular dish comes with – she says two. I ask her how many pieces of the mozzarella sticks, she says four. Great. We place our order. It takes her 20 mins to put the order in the computer. An additional 40 mins to bring out the food. We ordered three things. We take the food to the car and see there’s only one side and the mozzarella sticks come with three pieces. Forget about the long wait time but it’s literally part of the job to know what the menu is. Worst service.

The restaurant is now open post-Covid and the food was exceptional. I loved the customer service and will be returning.

The restaurant was ok. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it. The server we got had an attitude and was in a “hurry” to take our orders and walk away. Couldn’t find the server half of the time and was acting weird. The appetizers we had mozzarella sticks, onion rings, all tasted frozen. Kinda like when you buy the TGI branded frozen food boxes at the supermarket, it tasted just like that, absolutely underwhelming. The only saving grace was the mashed potatoes which did taste good. The food could definitely do better, the atmosphere was dark/gloomy very satire. Wouldn’t come back.
