We’ve bought two pieces of solid wood furniture from Texas Furniture Hut in the past year – both times we got solid service. The first time, we went an picked up our table and chairs and that went very smoothly. The second time, we had a sideboard delivered and the crew was great – they were very careful not to damage our floors or door coming in and were super patient while my husband inspected the unit.Both times, I had been shopping online forever for the right pieces, but hate buying things sight unseen – I was able to make sure that they were at the Katy store to look at and was taken care of promptly. Everyone there is very polite and helpful.

Came in on Sunday looking to buy a recliner. Sandy greated me and was not push and listened to what I was looking for. She made a few suggestions and than let me to test sit the recliners. She check on me a few times, but key was she wasn’t pushy for me to buy. She offered me a beverage and let me look.I was very happy with being allowed to take my time and not be forced to look at something I didn’t want. I found the recliner that met our needs and we negotiated the price. Success! Got the recliner we wanted at a far price. They offer delivery for $99 and they will setup the recliner.

On June 5, we visited the Katy location. We entered with our senior dogs. At first, all went well. The staff were even playing with the old guys. But just as we were zeroing in on a purchase, a man (didn’t get his name) wearing a suit and had a beard, stood up from his desk in the back and shouted at us across the entire showroom to please leave. We were not permitted to have the dogs here.We did not purchase anything and promptly left. Our issue is not with the policy or the request, but the manner in which the message was delivered. I can think of about a dozen ways in which he could have/should have shared the information with us and still preserved good customer relations. Shouting across the showroom is not one of the choices. Even the sales people were embarrassed. And he had customers at his desk and still shouted. Imagine what they thought?!?The store itself carries fine brands and were saw many pieces of interest. However, his rude behavior dictates that we will shop elsewhere.
