In an economy where we must nurture whatever mom and pop type business we can, I can endorse Tavistock Books wholeheartedly. I’ve been a patron for years, so much so that, although I live on the West Side of town now, I make the trek to Los Feliz to purchase books from Kerry Slaterry and her staff and feel good about it. The store is not a cardboard cut out, the inventory is well chosen and, finally, the store and staff are activists in and a credit to the community.

A really great book store for those looking to find something for a gift or a collection. This is not a typical used book store, but a high end antiquarian book seller. They really know what they are doing in there, and have been in business for over 30 years. I found an amazing Nancy Drew book here! Not for the faint of heart or someone looking for a cheap paperback.
