Nice market with wonderful fresh produce and some other groceries but I come for the great premade food. They have food friends have told me they remember as a child and more modern dishes incl. even a few Chinese options. I’ve had a few misses, but, most of the things I have tried are fantastic. You really have to try them to see if it matches your taste. I love all of the hot soups, the meat is good like the chicken chunks (forgot what they were called), beef/lamb kebabs, etc., meat/veggie/cheese filled pastries and very good fresh salads. I personally do not care for those layered casserole type salads, but, a friend of mine can’t live without them. Just note that some have fish or chicken etc., but, I can’t tell you which ones because I do not eat them. How I do it: Buy two or three items in small portions and walk to boardwalk and have lunch. Relax for 20 minutes and people watch. Go back to Tashkent to shop and buy large containers of the new items I just tried plus two or three items I’ve enjoyed in the past and a large soup. Realizing I spent way too much money I rush home and put everything away and out of sight hoping I forget while trying to keep busy until dinner… and then become shocked I have five choices staring at me…

I got scammed by this shop, don’t trust the meat section I was priced for 4.87lb and when I weighed the meat at home it only came out to 4.142 so they scammed me by selling me air for almost 5$ this is unacceptable, if they can scam me they can scam anyone and the fact that they are doing this during the month of Ramadan absolutely disgusts me. Always check what they give you, and notify anyone you know so none of your friends get scammed.

In a community of a majority of Russian, Uzbekistan and Pakistani, the prices of this supermarket is reasonably moderate. I would say 99% of all their selling products are halal. They have fruits, vegetables, meats, cooking ingredients, snacks, ice cream, dairy products, beverages that are local and international, as well as hot buffet, salads, desserts, and even a take-out station of hot fresh-made food. You will only find food at this supermarket. The buffet, the desserts and food from their gyro station are all absolutely delicious. The lines for the cashier are usually long, but the wait is exceptionally quick. You’ll want to spend a good amount of time there, if it’s your first visit, and you’ll want to look all the food at the buffet if you’re visiting again. You can’t go wrong if you shop at Tashkent Supermarket!
