I was planning to upgrade my iphone XR to an iphone 12 last week but they did not have the model I was looking for. I was told there was a promotion for trade in where I could receive $800 credit for my current phone, so I asked how long the promotion would last for. The staff said at least until the end of the month, so I decided to wait. I tried upgrading today and now the promotion is only $415 credit for my phone. Frustrated, I called the store and was told that promotions change several times a year and there is no way to know when they happen or what they will be. I understand that promotions can change, but if the staff did not know how long a promotion would be for, they should say that. I lost out of almost $400 of credit because of their misinformation.

went inside to get a new phone and change my name. read the tmobile website that stated that in order for me to change my name on my account i had to bring in a photo ID with my new name on it; which i did. the exrteemely rude customer rep who i was assigned literally did not know what she was doing and treated me like i was a nuisance. her and the manager told me to call 611, i did, waited on a customer rep on the phone for 45 minutes, when i finally spoke to someone they told me there was no reason i should have called them and that the reps in the store had no idea what they were doing. i communicated this to the people in the store and expressed how incompetent they were and how it was not cool that they had me wait 45 on the phone to have a 20 second conversation. none of the reps in the store seemed to know exactly what they were doing and kept having conversations in my face about how they were ready to go home…..so was i.

This is my go-to store for years! They are always friendly, very knowledgeable, thorough and polite. Even when it’s super busy, they remain calm orderly and focused. Great team. Sometimes they have a rude representative, but I have noticed they don’t last long. If you want to upgrade service Plans or solve technical problems, come here. If you need a new phone, skip this place and go to Emeryville. They have much more storage in back and a larger showroom, so you get all the latest choices.
