We all were astounded by the portions of food we received for our main entrees.

I paid $16 for 2 pieces of chicken with mac and collard greens.

Sweet potatoes is a gem with good ole southern food! Prices and portions are fair. If you like fish the catfish strips are great. The fried chicken is delish. The short ribs melt in your mouth. I like the mac n cheese, candy yams, greens and their signature salad. Unfortunately, I began to ate and did not take pictures, next time! Sweet potatoes location doesn’t make it easy to park. I would call ahead for pick-up. However, sometimes they are so busy you cannot get through and at times its just easier to go and order and wait in your car. As of end of April 2021 the set up is take out only. Things may have changed since then call ahead.

One of my favorites, if not my #1 favorite soul food restaurant. I wish the establishment will one day expand the size. It is a very small in size, and only seats 12-15 people tops, and that would make it tight in there. The small side is more for takeout. I have been on the bigger side for Sunday brunch. Love the jazz band, and the full buffet. Today in particular, my mother said let’s go out to eat. I really wanted her to try this restaurant. Her stomach is very sensitive, and can’t eat certain things. I just wish the waitress was a little bit more patient, and not so fast to catch an attitude, when trying to order the food the way she likes it . Overall, my mother enjoyed the food as well. She loved her extra crispy chicken and she enjoyed the the Sweet Potatoe Fries as well. I liked the Seafood Delight, but was a huge fan of the crab cakes. It was just okay. The string beans had that extra kick to it. The Mac & Cheese was/is my favorite side dish. Delicious!

Awesome Southern Food!I drove by this restaurant one day and saw the huge line inside. I figured, why not follow the crowd and try this place? So glad I did! Very tasty southern food! Get the fried chicken, candid yam or the fried shrimp and you can never to wrong! Came back here 3 times so far and I always leave satisfied.Pros:Tasty southern foodOne of the best restaurants in the neighborhoodCan’t go wrong with anything on the menuCons:Uncommon hours of operationsQuite pricey for the neighborhoodCrowded at times
