While the speeds they advertise is what you get the price they will give you is a lie. when getting an installation I was told it would be free they charged me for that. when I called I talked to three people wasting 2 hours of my time for them to tell me I could get a $20 credit. later down the line my bill balloons from $78 to $105 and I pay because I don’t want to deal with the poor customer service. when I finally do call I get someone who tells me I need to call the sales department then that person tells me I need to call retention then that person tells me they can give me $20 off. I would only advise you use this company if you don’t mind how bluntly they are willing to charge you more and tell you there’s nothing they can do about it.

UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE. I’ve submitted reports today to both the Federal Trade Commission and the Texas Attorney General. I went into the local (Lubbock) Suddenlink office yesterday, March 17th. I had already switched my mother to a different home phone provider using a phone number ported over from Suddenlink. The phone service with the new provider was up and running, and we no longer had need for the box Suddenlink had supplied for home phone service. I had asked the representative to scan in equipment and print out a receipt as proof that it had been returned. The representative then told me that my mother was still going to be charged for the equipment until we contact the retention department to request having the charges dropped. There was no need to do this. This is a deceptive sales tactic. The charges are supposed to drop when equipment is returned to their possession. I’ve returned equipment on my mother’s account in the past without issue. I was then told to keep the home phone box because it helps the internet work better. This is blatantly false. I know enough about the equipment being used to know that I was being lied to. I was told to please keep the box, to which I replied no. There was no longer a need keep the box, and no longer reason to continue being charged for the box.*Update*My mom got this nice notice in the mail that cable TV equipment needs to be returned. I personally returned them ALL. Crooks. SMH.

I have had nothing but problems with you all I have canceled my service with you all cause you make promise that you do not keep with packages I have been waiting for someone for two months to come get these boxes so I do t get charged for them and still no one shows up I call again today and they tell me there is nothing we can do you have to get on the website and get a label printed so I can mail them off when I was told almost a month ago that there will be someone to come pick them up on the 25 of March and nobody has showed up call today and get a different story and you wonder why people get fed up I will never recommend SUDDENLINK to anyone over all service really sucked
