I purchased a dry docked boat from Storm King last year that was guaranteed to be seaworthy and without any major issues. On the face of it it was a great looking boat with low hours that appeared to be well maintained. Within 24hrs of purchasing after sailing the boat home over 6hrs down the Hudson River, I noticed a sizable water leak coming through the transom assembly from what I now know to be a common issue and failure point for all bravo 3 outdrives at the steering pin. When I contacted Storm King, they denied having any knowledge of this issue and offered no refund, compensation, or any help whatsoever in addressing the issue. I will be addressing this leak before splashing for the upcoming season and expect it to cost somewhere in the $6k-$10k range as it requires the engine and outdrive to be pulled for steering pin and transom assembly to be completely replaced. At the time of purchase I also mentioned my concern in the level of corrosion on the lower portion of the outdrive. Again they reassured me this was common the bravo 3’s and that the corrosion on this outdrive was not nearly bad enough to be of concern. Well, only a few months later while on the water with my family the lower portion of the outdrive cracked and blew a hole the size of my pinky finger due to corrosion and a severely thin gear case wall and dumped all of the gear oil throwing an alarm. This was another expensive repair requiring a mid season haul out, a full replacement of the outdrive lower unit which cost around $3k alone. In short, buy your boat somewhere else.

Purchased a used boat from them. Sales man Fred very nice guy and very helpful. The boat is in great condition. Prices are reasonable. He gave me a good price. I had 1 problem with it and Fred took care of that problem ASAP.

Found a boat I was interested in on storm kings web site … the interior looked great, clean and taken care of. I called and asked about the boat- was told it was in excellent condition- I specifically asked if the boat was as clean as the pics made it look and was told it was – drove an hour to get there and was really looking forward to seeing this boat…..The boat on the lot was far from clean and I looked at the pics again only to discover that the pics on the listing were of a different boat, same model. I brought it to the attention of the dealer – got an apology and I don’t know how that happened. Maybe it was an Honest mistake but seemed a little shady – waste of my morning.
