This was an interesting experience… After a beautiful day in Monterey it was time to head home (long drive ahead). Looking for coffee, ah Starbucks drive thru. Venti Medium roast. Came out double cupped… Must be hot. No lie, almost room temperature. So I pulled up to front and came in to let them know. excuse me, this is BARELY warm. They offered to make something else for me with no apology. I accepted. The manager made small talk about my day and where I’m from. Finally I said, Hey I’m sorry but you guys knew this coffee was not hot at all and that’s what you’re serving to customers who want hot coffee. She didn’t apologize, she said it’s because of the time of day. Of course I explained that if they’re coming to buy hot coffee, I’m sure they want it hot, no matter what time of day it is (with a smile). Anyway, I don’t like when businesses make excuses and I certainly don’t like being tricked out of my money when they know they’re serving something bad.
