I have been trying to downgrade my cable tv service since May 28th, the date I was given to call back in by a previous phone rep. I talked to several reps and they advised they have notated my account so once I get to the correct rep, they can make the applicable downgrade.By my surprise, the service I experienced in this store today was absolutely, horrible. The manager and assistant manager were very unprofessional.The lady by the name of Tungi Simmons refused to accept my equipment because she said I had a past due balance. I told her that the phone rep stated the store could do a lot more since it’s in person, and she said no, the system would not allow her to take my items and she was NOT accepting it. Then I had to leave and go back to my car because I have a special needs baby and didn’t want him to be in the care more then he already was. Due to covid and his compromised immune system, I can’t take him in public areas as much.I called customer care back and told them what happened, and the phone rep agreed to stay on my speaker phone while I went back in the store. The phone rep said to make sure I ask for the manager.The store managers name was Donald Simmons. He basically was rude and not helpful. He said he wasn’t aware of the issue and I had to explain what the young lady did concerning my equipment and how rude her tone was. He said well she’s right and you owe 205.00 so we can accept your items or make the downgrade. The person on the phone told him to go ahead and accept the equipment and they would get me transferred back to retention to handle the other adjustments. Donald then took longer to handle my transaction due to a un work related conversation he started to have with Tungi. They were discussing if Tungi was off on the weekend or not. I told Donald that I’d have to bring my baby in if the transaction would take longer and he loudly said ma’am it’s going to be a minute so do what you need to do. I mean, I could not believe the treatment I received all because I was only trying to downgrade my service and bring in equipment. I work from home and my son does virtual therapy and that’s the only reason at this time I will keep my service. I am seriously considering changing in the future due to these two individuals lack of unprofessionalism. I am paying for a service with Spectrum and I’m not paying to be treated in this type of manner.Donald then gave me a hand written receipt and I asked could I have a print out because people can have weird hand writing. He refused and said you have a receipt and it’s manual. I looked around and said can you print it at another station and he said he hit print and it didn’t work so you have the manual. I honestly felt like the “peanut gallery” was running this store. I work in the marketing and customer service, and these two people really make the entire company look unprofessional.Some form of coaching needs to take place with these two, especially if they are in a leadership role.An upset, frustrated customer,

This location seems to be relatively busy & pretty good customer service. However, I haven’t been very pleased with my overall service thru Spectrum headquarters the past month or so. I’m no longer able to access my 5G signal. Hmmm…something seems quite fishy.

Trying to get my service back after the storm, everything was no no no. Can’t do that , that’s not our remote can’t do anything. All was a lie , a seventeen year old came to my house and did what I asked them to do. I told them it had been done before. It was simple. Rebut the box. I myself could not think of it. I’ve had two strokes. So they thought I didn’t know what I was talking about. I could not get my money back.
