My favorite flavor is butter and peanut butter manju.

So delicious and great prices. I received some chichidango from a friend who is a loyal customer. I finally ordered online and it was so easy and quick. We got strawberry and mango today. So cute packaging and it felt like I was getting a little gift with a bow. We’ll definitely be coming back each week.

I was recommended by a friend to check out this Mochi shop in Japan town in San Jose, CA. It’s called Shuie-Do Manju shop @ShuieDoManju. They offer fifteen different kinds, but you have to show up early or certain flavors will sell out. I love how soft and chewy the Mochi was, the middle of it was bursting in flavor. It was not that sweet, which was perfect for me. It’s Mochi is $2, so it can be costly. It’s a great spurge if you like Mochi. @ShuieDoManju

Picked up some FRESH manju for my honey for Valentine’s Day and be sure to go early or order early as they will sell out fast. I see that the manju are getting smaller size like many candies and confectionaries. I for one will pay more to get a normal size pieces. Still worth going to and enjoying this lost art so be sure to support this business.
