Best service I have ever received for car repair! Within 3 hours of me dropping my car off, they identified the problem and had my car fixed and ready to go. Not only was it the fastest I have ever had a car repaired, the management and staff is phenomenal. I was immediately greeted by smiling faces who made me feel comfortable choosing them to repair my car. As a female college student, it is great to have a repair center like this around where I know I will get fast and excellent service while supporting a great locally owned and operated business.

I want to start this off by saying I am a very non-confrontational person and this is actually the first negative review I’ve ever taken the time out of my day to write. But after my brother Rami posted a supposedly ludicrous review as the owner Mark replied, I decided I needed to give the actual story with receipts. In the counter statement, Mark replied that I was estimated at $450 for the alternator, $345 for labor and a $55 diagnosis fee for a supposed grand total of $850. Over the phone, I was told $450 for the alternator and $500 for labor (no mention of the $55 diagnosis fee which I was told about when I picked up my car and I paid with no protest). I was quoted over the phone for $950 and the diagnosis paper I fortunately requested (as I would be made out to be a liar if I had not) a physical copy which states a total quote of $960. Either way, over the phone I was told $500 for labor. I do appreciate that when I asked if I could bring in my own part, they were wiling to do so. But ultimately I declined because $500 for 3 hours of labor seemed quite unreasonable. Anyways, my brothers ludicrous review was nothing but the truth and actually I am sad to say that the owner either made a mistake resulting in a discrepancy of $100 in the estimate or lied?Just an update because I am truly flabbergasted: My dad came to town and towed my car to a family friend’s repair shop in Houston. My alternator was not even bad! It was just a loose belt. I was quoted over $950 and paid $55 for a completely incorrect diagnosis. The problem was fixed for way under $100. Truly wish I could get my $55 back because I don’t even understand how that was missed if there was supposedly a thorough diagnosis. Frustrating, especially since those $55 could’ve gone towards buying textbooks.

I have used Sevcik’s for many years, mainly as a servicer of my vehicle for standard maintenance and oil changes. I took my vehicle in today for an issue and they were very honest about my options for repairs. Ultimately, it was in my best interest to use my warranty to repair the mechanical issue at the dealership, and while they wouldn’t see any profits from this recommendation, Sevcik’s was upfront with the option that was in my best interest. I will continue to drive 30 minutes just to have them routinely service my car; customer service is worth it.
