I don’t live anywhere near a Sephora or Ulta so the rare occasion that I get to Santa Rosa is like Christmas to me. I save up for these trips.I recently ordered a $130 eyeshadow palette online from Sephora. It did not perform to my expectations and I wanted to exchange it. Since I ordered it from Sephora, I was told I couldn’t return it here. What?? That makes no sense. I ordered from Sephora so I can’t return to Sephora. I had my invoice, the original packaging, everything. I was told I’d have to drive across town to another store.My parents drive me through the area for doctors appointments and neither of them are comfortable driving in cities. There was no way I was getting to the other Sephora. So I’m stuck with a very expensive palette that I do not like.Before I left the mall, I stopped in at Ulta. I returned, with no problems, a foundation I had ordered online. I picked up a palette and some eyeliner. The associates were friendly and helpful. Safe to say, I won’t be returning to this Sephora again.

The sales personnel are rude and condescending. They either don’t care about the customer needs or don’t want to be bothered. There was a lot of “chatting” among themselves. I actually heard two saleswomen dissing a customer, saying she was beyond their help. Of note she was older (40ish). One actually told her she would be better off shopping through Avon!! oh my gosh.
