When I purchased my washer and dryer from Mr. Sanford a couple of years ago, I found his shop to be clean, he and his staff were courteous.However, 2 weeks ago, when I was purchasing a new washer and dryer as the washer I purchased from him was making noises, I called Mr. Sanford to see if he wanted the appliances back. I just wanted to give them back to him, at no charge to him. It took 3 phone calls, re-explaining each time, and finally saying they had to be picked up on Friday as the new ones were being delivered on Saturday, before he said he would come and pick them up. He arrived with 1 guy, they took the dryer and then suddenly left. Mr. Sanford got in the truck without a word to me and his helper came in, picked up his tools and said they would be back, and he didn’t know why they were leaving. This turned out to be an outright lie. Apparently Mr. Sanford decided he didn’t want the washer and, instead of telling me that, just left. When I called to ask when they would be back for the washer, he said not today and we are closed tomorrow, so it won’t be until Monday. When I explained, again, that the new appliances where arriving the next day, he finally told me he didn’t want the washer and I would have to figure something else out. So Rude!I was just trying to donate appliances to this local business so they could possibly re-sell them, and I got treated this way.Won’t be going back to them, nor will I recommend them again.
