The doctors who my parents have been seeing are great and very patient. They are nice and spend a lot of time listening to our issues. The nurses are very nice too. However, the call center is terrible. As a lot of viewers mentioned, a minimum wait of half an hour is expected. Also, the call number was in busy tones many times. And they don’t do anything online. It’s not like you can hang up and make an appointment yourself online. To be fair, once I was able to get through the wait time, the receptionists are all helpful. Also, the pharmacy there is the slowest pharmacy I’ve ever been. I had experience waiting for 45 minutes there.Overall, I have mixed feeling about this place. I like the doctors. However, the amount of time spent to get an appointment and the pharmacy make me often wonder whether it makes sense to stay with the facility.

I would give a 0 star if I could. A few days after I was assigned to San Mateo Medical Center by my insurance, I got injured and went to ER (at a different hospital). There was necessary aftercare I needed to get, so I contacted them. I was so shocked that they refused service to me. The reason given was that I was not yet established on their system. Although I explained that I got injured before I could do the new patient registration, they still refused service. After my recovery, I called New Patient Connection Center as instructed to book an appointment with a doctor. And guess what, I called numerous times during their operation hours, for weeks; and not once did anyone pick up the call, not even a voicemail was available.I suppose the San Mateo Medical Center is just a name, but not a healthcare facility to help people, as they claimed to on the website. Thumbs down!!
