This place is exactly as it states it is; a hometown classic. They offer comfort food in a simple but past-era friendly way. I always get the Chicken pot pie meal. They make so many it comes out fast (thumbs up!). There is a big portion of the pot pie (yum), gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn. The meal also has bread and side dish; I like their cole slaw. The price of the meal also includes a slice of pie , your choice and every one I’ve had so far is good. Great place to get a good comfort meal. Street parking; I’ve always found a spot pretty close by on the side street.*Just recently went here on a Saturday and they were celebrating their 83rd year! Lucky us got to celebrate with them when they brought us a free slice of celebratory cake.

The décor totally matches this place with roosters everywhere, all different sizes. Small figurines to a life size taller than me! You can also buy merchandise like shirts and mugs.We got the pot pie and tastes like home-made chicken pot pie, flaky with creamy fillings. It’s a hefty meal with a side of mash, veggies, and sole. The gravy for the pie was on the side.There’s also plenty of dessert. We ended up getting a cookie, a slice of German chocolate cake, the giant cinnamon roll! It’s so big that they even have a full page instruction on how to heat it up. It was enough to share with six others.

Ohhhhh comfort food I love you!!! This is not a place to go if your on the keto unless it’s your cheat day This food was delicious, priced great, friendly staff and absolutely great collection of chicken decor! Highly recommend and will be a returning customer.
