I have to absolutely rave about the speed, quality and customer service at this bike shop!I have a tricycle and many bike shops will not work on my bike (especially in Nor Cal). When we moved to San Diego I had several issues with my new trike. Ming had no problem working on it and doing it quick! On top of servicing my trike quickly, he offered to help me with loading my bike up (I just had a baby). I couldn’t find parking and I was so freaking stressed (baby was crying), so Ming offered to come to me for getting payment and walking my bike to me!!! Awesome customer service!!! Thank you to thMing and the crew at San Diego Bike Shop!!

No was okay. the wait time was long. and they asked me if I needed installation. Little did they know I am more competent than they.

I purchased a front brake and brake lever and paid for installation of both parts. I came in for pickup and they had installed the wrong parts. I came back a few days later, and the correct parts were installed. I brought the bike home and noticed my chain had been tensioned FAR too much and the bolts to secure the rear wheel had also been tightened with way too much force. Nothing needed to be done to the rear wheel, so I have no idea why it was even touched to begin with. Also, the brake shoes were installed facing the wrong direction, and there were flecks of some sort of sticky black residue on several places of my frame.I called the shop to complain about the tension just to let them know for the sake of future customers. An employee (I think the owner, but I’m not sure) decided to argue with me and deny that anything had been incorrectly adjusted. I gave up trying to provide constructive criticism and ended the conversation.I value attention to detail and customer service as much as I value having the correct parts. If you choose to have work done on your bike here, it will get done at a fair price. DON’T expect even an attempt at perfection or good customer service if things are improperly handled.I assume the shop will respond to this review, but whatever their response might be, it won’t make up for my negative experience.I won’t be coming back for any future assistance with my bike.
