I have been coming to this Safeway pharmacy for years, it has been a great relationship with Tina & Tracy . Getting all my meds in one place plus vaccinations , had been a blessing .What I am disheartened about is Safeway’s decision to overrule a Dr’s orders . I get there is an opioid epidemic in today’s world ,however that has now become an issue for patients whom truly need their meds. I have had multiple surgeries , and found out yesterday that I am again looking at another spinal fusion,, meds are important in my life right now..This debacle started when my knee surgeon sent a prescrtiption for Norco after I told him not to , that I get my meds from one Dr only as they are scheduled drugs . My husband went back to return them and was told they cannot take them back. I find that hard to believe , and had they ,noting in the system , I would not have been cut short on my normal prescription . This is an issue now that I have a new Dr as mine retired ,in trying to rectify this . What he did do was fill my monthly prescription , yet Safeway won’t fill it until 2 days from now .,I do not feel that a pharmacy should be involved in the politics of an opioid epidemic if a Dr is prescribing them.I do not hold Tina or Tracy responsible as they are employed by Safeway and do not make the rules.. I had told Tina today ,I may need to find a new pharmacy not in the politics game.. I have Stanford Health care and they are very by the book. If it were an issue ,then my Dr would not be able to send in the prescription to begin with . I have been in great hands , with a very concerning pharmacists , so this is one I will need to think about before pulling the plug.

I don’t hate this place…i just find it amusing that every time I visit there are lines of people with limited cashiers…people are waiting down the aisles where people need to shop while lines extend back 10 to 15 deep….staff does a good job…but the tie wearing management need to get involved on thier days off and see what your customers experience….sheesh…3s a crowd again….hey Safeway management are you listening…is anybody home…knock knock
