I leave this 1 star here until things improve. I spend $150 at this store every week. And I have to ALWAYS bag my own groceries. This Safeway has ALWAYS had issues with being under staffed. Always less for checkout stands and NEVER a bagger in sight. Maybe a few times a year if I’m lucky. I shop here at different times in the day and always the same. Its not like Safeway is cheap. So I feel there should be enough staff at this store to increase the customer shopping experience.The Safeway on Clayton road Never has this issue. Ever. For years. So something at this store is not right.I will update this review once things improve.

ExpensiveStopped by this place at 6:30 a.m. on February 1st. 2018 and bought some donuts and butter.Opened the package while having breakfast with family. Found the butter spoiled and already expired 3 months ago.Went back to the store and talked to the manager. He gave me his name and told me simply to put it back and get another one.Wow…that simplePlease be careful with people’s health.

This is the worst Safeway store I have ever been to. Homeless people litter the out front area and parking lot. The security staff in the store are obnoxious and confrontational, they think they’re kings. The staff is generally courteous but there are a couple who are completely useless including a little guy at the customer service desk who is beyond incompetent, and the manager of the store is the worst manager I’ve ever seen, making excuses for everything that is wrong refusing to take responsibility or anything. Only go to this store if you have no other options.
