I love this Zoo! I love zoos. Its one of the first spot I hit when I have to discover a new city. While it was hardly one of the first spots I hit , the zoo was well worth the anticipation. Perhaps the fact that the weather was seriously agreeable when I visited has a lot to do with my experience .The facilities are conveniently located. I think that critical to a pleasant day out. Also there are plenty of maps etc, not that they would help me much if I were alone. I not so good with maps you see……I am working on it .For now I am a GPS kinda gal.

Beautiful facility with Art Deco original interior. Excellent venue for theater and church services. Arrive early because parking is mostly street parking so you may have to park a distance from the Saban.

It’s a smaller more intimate setting for concerts. The decor I would say is very old Hollywood it reminds me of Pantages Theater in Hollywood only more ostentatious and gaudy. There’s definitely some signs of age in the structure and maybe not very well kept as paints start to peel off the ceiling.
