Rudy’s is one of the best barbecue places in the universe. I love going here every time I come through the area. The food is awesome and the barbecue is really really great and the meat is cooked just perfectly. I highly recommend you eat here and try the barbecue. Get some barbecue sauce to take home with you as well. When I get some gas if you’re upfront. They are also a military friendly restaurant so if you’re a vet this is a great place to eat. If you support our military this also makes it a great place to eat. If this review house please leave a thumbs up.

This is why I love Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ..they are genuinely happy to help out someone without expectations of patronage. This Rudy’s, located at 15560 Interstate 35 North Selma, Schertz, TX 78154, allowed me to come in and charge my dead phone when most places will not let you do that. In fact, this location is the only one in past few years that has actually exemplified neighbors helping neighbors. Walk into any gas station, any retail store, any professional businesses, and you will find yourself being told that you can’t charge your phone unless you are a paying customer. I approached a woman behind the counter, named Diana, and asked if I could charge my dead phone at one of the wall outlets outside and she insisted that I stay inside and use the wall outlet inside. That really made me have a deep respect for Diana and I asked her if I could discuss her/her name in my review cuz if you guys are ever in the Selma/Schertz area and looking for great BBQ turkey, brisket (with Sissy Sauce ),with a side of coleslaw, beans, cream corn, and other veggies.Don’t forget to try their pudding! Chocolate, Banana and some others.Say Hello to Diana if you happen to see her while you are dining.Thank you Diana for your kindness, definitely a rare diamond in a mountain of coal!

The really are the worst barbecue place like the sign says! My husband want their chicken but they said it was going to take 30 minutes. We said it was fine, we will wait. They took down our number and they said they will call us when it was ready. Well 30 minutes came and no phone call. I went up to the counter and asked if the chicken was ready and they said not until 25 more minutes. Which means they never put it to cook or sold out of the first batch and never called us. If I could give them a zero I would, we are never going back.
