In the last couple of months I ordered take out at Rudy’s on two occasions about a month apart. I placed the orders inside. Both times I ordered stuffed baked potatoes. With brisket. Both times they were the same. Barely edible. The skin on the potatoes were black with soot which is pretty hard to do when you cook them wrapped in foil. The potatoes were also very dark in color and just short of freeze dried moisture content. The brisket was the only reason it merits 2 stars. I should have called and complained but I’m 77 and don’t complain about much.

FANTASTIC SERVICE! I was met at the front door, by a smiling cashier in the gift shop, quick pickup area. I told her that I had never been there. She explained how the menus had changed a little because of Covid. She also shared her personal favorite menu item: Green Chili Stew.Went to the next counter and ordered. More great service. Employees walking by said hi before the cashier took my order. We ordered 2 chopped sandwiches and a small Green Chili Stew to go. Sandwiches were generous and had great flavor! Rudy’s offers 2 different sauces on the side, Original and “Sissy Sauce”. On a spice level, I top out at about a 3 out of 10. Tried and loved the Original, it’s nearly a perfect sauce just a touch sweet for me but has a nice kick. But to be fair to Sissy Sauce, I saved the last few bites of my sandwich to test Sissy. No bite and FULL OF FLAVOR.As for the Green Chili Stew… she did not say it was her favorite without merit. The biggest problem with the stew however, eat it with a fork or a spoon! It is very hearty. Think entree not side. It would be worth the trip just to get the stew.I do disagree with $$ rating. Very reasonable. High quality and flavorful food delivered in a spacious, clean restaurant. Variety of well stuffed breakfast tacos in seemingly fresh made flour tortillas, (corn upon request), to suit any taste from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.Purchased four for $11.76, including tax and is a very good value when comparing quality and price vs fast food chains.Edit 5/23/21:Ordered eight breakfast tacos and quality was uniform as expected but removed one star for lack of service following customer request. Two were to be identified to separate order, whereas the other six were identified instead. Since they use a marker on foil, they can sometimes only be seen as a smudge and it’s easier to separate two smudges without opening tacos to view contents.Requested each taco to have salsa condiment and received three salsa with remainder of BBQ sauce, which was not requested.These weren’t deal killers for us but wish they would have read receipt and followed as requested. For some, it could have been an important oversight. I recommend viewing your order at drive thru or counter before leaving if concerned about accuracy.
