Great local surf shop, the staff and owner go out of their way to support their clients, promote surfing and Oceanside as a community.This place is a hidden gem and full of character. If you’d like to experience Oceanside and what it’s interesting residents have to offer. Go pay them a visit.

Very friendly staff! Nice place, too. My problem was, I rented wetsuits during my spring break from work and after paying for the rental, we went to find the right size for me and my party. The ones we got had some minor and few major holes and rips, one we thankfully did not get smelled of urine (the others were fine, and i believe that wetsuit just hadn’t been washed) . I was originally quite annoyed, but upon returning the wetsuits the owner went into more detail of how it was the busiest week of all 17 years he had operated- and how post-covid overall he had been very busy and his wetsuits had been selling quickly. I wish he had confirmed more and explained he was quite busy before he sold the suits, and offered us the choice to go to another place. Overall, a few mistakes, but good prices and a friendly owner.

Owner is a real creep. Was ogling my daughter as we tried to rent a surfboard. Got extremely bad vibes from him, and his shop was really overpriced. We rented a board, which was actually a nice service to have in town. The owner however creeped us so much, we will never return. Heard some nasty rumors about his affairs in town too. Support Asylum surf shop instead! Cooler people, cooler atmosphere, and only good vibes from the owners there!!!! Stay away from Real Surf like the plague!
