I went here to get an antique lamp rewired. My mistake was to not make sure all requests were in writing. I asked that the wiring be replaced with a polarized plug and clear wire, showed the repair person what I wanted and was told he would do it. I also asked that the felt on the bottom of the lamp be replaced and was told that would be done too. Of course, when I picked it up, it had a new lamp socket and harp, but they did not change the wiring or replace the felt. I was told we don’t have that kind of plug and that they can’t order it. Finally the repair person found a wire with a polarized plug (that I hope was new). I agreed to use that, but am not confident that this was done correctly. No management attempted to rectify the situation.I believe this is a process issue rather than the fault of the repair person. I don’t know if the receipt they gave me was the same as the work order, but they should put all details in writing instead of rewire lamp. If you go here, make sure this is done, don’t trust people to just remember it!It’s a shame, because I have other lighting replacement needs in my home, but RBdelaa won’t be getting any more business from me.
