The parking lot feels safe, it is well lit and wide open. Pro-tip – the parking on the right side of the store is safe, close and usually pretty empty.The store itself is clean, the shelves are full and organized. The grocers here seem to really care about their workplace. That is a testament to good management. Speaking of the grocers-The grocers here are top-notch.The people in the departments are helpful, the cashiers are friendly and talkative. I love running into Sandee, for example. She is always so warm and genuine. It doesn’t feel like the cashiers are being rushed or over-scrutinized by their management.If I have occasion to catch somebody on the floor and ask them where something is – they will take me to it or find out where it is if they don’t know. For example, for some reason I was looking for caviar one night, I don’t know, maybe the wife wanted to try it or something. Well, I asked Marc where it is. Marc is a meat department guy who I nabbed while he was stocking meat. Marc did not know where the caviar was, which seemed odd to me because Marc is pretty well versed in the location of any item I’ve ever had to ask him for the location of. His brow furrowed as he thought, he said “come on” and we went. We went over to another grocer and Marc asked him where it is. Well, turns out they don’t carry the exact caviar food I was looking for, but the important thing is that Marc didn’t know – but he quickly found a solution for me.The prices here seem to be better than at the other groceries in the area. If milk is a gauge of price, and I read somewhere that it is, then they have both the Pavilions and the Smart & Final down the road beat.
