Went in today to purchase dog food. While in line to check-out, I noticed the cashier was taking incoming phone calls while checking out the customer ahead of me. The cashier and customer never had any conversation, due to the cashier being on the phone. Then it was my turn. Normally, the cashier asks for your phone number so they can key it in. Today, since she was on the phone and the phone call was priority, the cashier was motioning and lipping for me to enter my phone number on the credit card machine. I have never done this before, so I was confused as to what she was asking me to do. When I realized what she wanted, I did it. She then apologized to the person on the phone, not to the person in front of her that she was ignoring and being extremely rude to, but the person on the phone. I never got a HELLO, DID YOU FIND EVERYTHING YOU WERE LOOKING FOR, NOTHING. She continued the phone call for the entirety of checking me out. I told her that someone else should be answering the incoming calls and explained how rude it was not to be speaking to customers that are standing in front of her spending money. This is so RUDE and NON-BUSINESS. PETCO has earned my business as of today, simply because PetSmart in Odessa has a manager, according to Polly, his name is Don, and he clearly doesn’t understand the importance of a cashier being able to speak to customers during transactions.

Great place Lt shop for our !

The shopping is great there. However, don’t use the grooming services! Took my dog there recently & had some sort of incident that traumatized my dog. There is an investigation into what actually happened ongoing. Slow response!!! I’m staying on top of it! I want to know what happened. My dog was ok physically but it has taken him a couple of days mentally to snap back.
