The staff always has a treat for my fur-babies when we check out.

A large selection but over priced on many of the people accessories.

So tired of going here to find that they are out of stock on the items I’m looking for. I’ve been in four times in the past week and a half to get Tidy Cat cat litter. First, on a Monday, I was told they get their delivery on Tuesday. So I came back on Wednesday. Still nothing. Waited until Thursday the following week. Still empty. Then again on Sunday. Shelves are almost completely bare. When I asked, and was directed to the manager, she tells me that it’s probably sitting in the back because they’ve been busy and short staffed. No offense, but that’s not my problem. Offers to check in the back, after asking repeatedly what litter I’m looking for. After a few minutes, another associate comes over to ask (again) what was the brand. Gives me some excuse of how their shipments have been messed up…. Again, not my problem. The fact that there’s not another large pet store is really the only reason this store makes money. Cause it’s sure as hell not their inventory or customer service.

It’s a purty good store for a big boring box store.I bought a hamster from them recently and this PetSmart in Ithaca has nice looking healthy vibrant critters.Sometimes the smaller stores don’t have the critter I want and I don’t feel like waiting,so I go to PetSmart. But we always buy our supplies at the smaller, locally owned shops. Not only to support them but because it’s just more fun ….gotta say it – PetSmart is sooooo boring. The staff is usually ok but also boring. They have to behave like box store martmart style and that sucks. And they kinda arrogant. Sometimes. Often. Not always.

Helpful and friendly staff on the sales floor. I’ve gotten a lot of creatures here. Hamsters, Fish, Crabs, And 2 leopard geckos. The prices are a little high on supplies but with the amount of points I earn towards $ off my next purchase it all works out.
