Needed a battery check and employee was rude since the beginning asking me if I had the receipt( nobody saves receipts any more) he sad to me if you do not have the receipt I can’t help you. He said that pep boys changed companies a year ago and my receipt was no longer stored in their computer system. Manufacturing date on battery was 2020 and there is a label on the battery that says warranty good for 36 months battery was good after testing it and i just left.Did not like the way he made me feel as a customer I am just not coming back to this location again.

Went in to get an alignment on my car. Some staff wear masks properly, but approx. half did not wear masks when working on vehicles.When I was watching, the staff member put their mask on to enter my car and drove off to test the alignment. However, I saw them drive back into the parking lot WITHOUT A MASK IN MY CAR.I asked the staff at the front desk about their protocols, and they stated they should be wearing masks at all times, and have a wrap on the steering wheel and seat when doing work on the cars. They did neither to my vehicle.I let them know about the situation, they called the manager over and he said he’s very strict about enforcing masks and would address it. In all honesty the manager is not strict in enforcing masks – he had previously been around his employees that were not wearing masks and did not address them to put their masks on. He and the front desk staff also did not seem very concerned.If this employee is doing this is strangers cars, he clearly does not care for his safety much less the safety of others.

The customer service employee was not receptive, if I did not need the oil change I would have left. Then the receipt said that a tire rotation was done but when I asked about it, they stated I had to tell them first to do it. I was under the impression that it done with the service. I’ve been going for a couple years now but it’s time for a change of venue.
