This is a follow up to my initial post. This location is under new management and corrected the issue immidiately. The old manager never even reported it to corporate. I’ll give them another shot.In the second or third week of April, I visited the Pepe Boys at 990 S Central Expy, McKinney, TX 75070 so a nail could be removed from my tire. It was identified in the middle of the tire, however, the person servicing the car could not get my tire off the wheel. The manager who identified himself I believe as the owner as well, said they did not want to continue because it could damage the tire. He suggested we go next door to Discount Tire. Well I had to go back home as I was needing to get on a meeting call. On the 25th I actually went to a Discount Tire closer to me. They took the tire off with no issue and identified the damage to the plastic piece that is there for noise reduction hanging off and had actually started to rub away the inside of my tire.Now, it went from a nail fix to a total $334.66 tire replacement because your establishment damaged the wheel trying to take off the tire. You can see how there is physical damage to the piece of plastic that cannot happen without force to it. The Discount Tire even wrote in the notes of the receipt that it was this that damaged the inside of the tire.The manage said he reported it to corp. office, but when I called Chris at the corporate office, he asked if i was ever given a case number or had an adjusted call. I did not. I’ll see how Pep Boys responds now that they know of the issue.

I noticed a warning light that came on in my car that I had not seen before. I walked into Pep Boys and spoke with Jose. Jose came out and found the issue in less than a minute and replaced my brake light for FREE!!! Wow, I’m so grateful for that. Thank you again.
