Alfred Peet wasn’t trying to start a coffee revolution when he set up shop in Berkeley, CA back in 1966. He just thought Americans deserved a real cup of coffee. Five decades later, we hold true to his vision: sourcing directly from the world’s finest estates, handroasting to order in small batches, and making sure every cup is brewed as fresh and full-flavored as possible. At Peet’s, we know coffee so you can know a great cup. Visit us at Peet’s in Oakland, 1615 Broadway

It’s good – coffee, location, people.

This location has a lot of glass windows, many seating areas and natural lighting in downtown Oakland. However, it isn’t easy to find parking here. They have 2 gender neutral restrooms. I like that there is a sink outside of the restroom. In case, you need to wash your hands, you can immediately do so without waiting for the restroom to become available.

Definitely my favorite Peet’s in Oakland. Great little brought iron shaped Peet’s. Friendly service. Nice location on a Sunday. Parking might be more difficult during the week. This Peets is in a historic old high-rise.

My go-to coffee joint. It’s small, but has two restrooms, WiFi, outlets, comfy seats, ample outdoor seating, quick and friendly staff, and good people-watching. Has the standard Peet’s drinks (including nitro taps) and snacks. It’s a real Peet’s, not some third-party joint licensed to sell some Peet’s stuff (you can use Peet’s cards and mobile app here, including ordering ahead). PS: don’t buy other reviewers’ scare tactics about homeless people. It’s downtown Oakland, and coffee is cheap, so of course some less-affluent people arrive. I’ve been coming here virtually every day for months, and seen zero incidents that would give me any concerns.
