It was cloudy and cold yesterday, so inevitably, I was craving soup! I ordered on their website for an accidental curbside pickup, but I ended up just going inside to pick it up because: one, there wasn’t any employee exiting with a bag of food and two, I’d rather save us both the trouble and time for the exchange. What amazed me was their grocery option on the website?! You’re able to order milk, bread, cheese, a few produce items like avocados, and a half gallon of their specialty tea! It’s not a visit to Panera without their Passion Papaya Green Tea, so I added that to our order. (It was advertised as $4.99, but when I put it in my cart it was $8.99)As for the food, Panera’s Broccoli Cheddar soup always sounds like a good idea. I’m usually contemplating that or a tomato soup w/ a grilled cheese. Both won yesterday because why the hell not.I will say though, I could’ve made a better grilled cheese than the one I got. The cheese wasn’t even melted between the two slices of bread. It was like they toasted two pieces of bread and microwaved the cheddar cheese slice just enough to stick to one side of the bread and put the other slice on top. What really made me choose Panera vs other places that could’ve fulfilled my soup craving was the tip my friend gave me, our favorite salad: Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken is in season! I always look forward to this salad bc it’s filling and such a light meal it makes me feel like I’m eating so much healthier!I recommend opting for the you pick two option because it really helps with any indecisiveness by narrowing it down to two items!
