Dear Watertown City Council & City Planner:Please consider directing some Revitalization Grant money to the second oldest American mall built in 1850. I don’t know if it was initially in the plan for improvement in the downtown strategic investment plan. I don’t know if it’s on the National Register of Historical Places either. Malls come and go but this historic gem is one worth saving. I can envision the Hospitality and Tourism program at JCC working with the businesses in the Paddock Arcade and other area businesses to promote its growth in NYS bringing people from all over to experience the charm, the kindness of its business owners, and the ambiance of shopping in downtown Watertown.
