We came to make a donation and some Karen-esque woman said she wouldn’t take any of it, without even looking in the boxes, and we had a working coffee pot and good books! Basically assumed all of our donations were dirty. I suspect it was either because we pulled up in an old truck, or because we’re a lesbian couple. Not sure, but we felt discriminated against. The Oroville Rescue Mission is, in itself, anti-LGBT and I recommend donating elsewhere.

Nice place to find something you didnt know you needed. Clean sturdy used clothing, house goods, jewlery, tables, a BBQ, never know what they will have. Nice folks that run the place for a great cause
