In the early days of the National Geographic Society, Old Faithful Geyser of California was declared one of only three “faithful” geysers in the world because of its regular eruptions. This geyser has also proven itself to be a good predictor of earthquakes. When the geyser’s regular eruptions are delayed or diminished, an earthquake is likely within the next couple of weeks in the 500 miles surrounding the geyser. Old Faithful Geyser of California soon became one of the most visited places in the American West. The rainbows that form in the predictable sprays of mist are a wonderful feature in this serene setting at the top of Napa Valley. To this day, Old Faithful Geyser of California remains as one of the most photographed places in the
Small, scenic geyser backdropped by palms & mountains, plus a gift shop with locally made goods.

Also bring food and drinks.

Great place to come with family. There is a zoo with llamas, fainting goats and 4-horn sheep. The Geyser spouts periodically. Bring food and drinks. It will be hot there in the day but there are shaded sitting areas. Tickets on the website are day tickets and $15/adult, $13/student etc.

I really enjoyed my day at Old Faithful Geyser of California! I didn’t know there was a geyser in California and my partner and I made a day trip to visit! It was very charming with spread out lounge chairs, lounge areas and even swings! They had a small geological museum and cute gift shop! While you wait for the geyser you can feed the goats and walk around the animal farm. Again, lots of lounge areas and picnic tables around grassy areas with fountains, etc. suitable for small or large parties or just a couple! It was more than I was expecting I thought it would just be a small little area. Worth the drive and price was very reasonable! The drive around the area is also beautiful and can stop in St. Helena for some great coffee & foods!

Beautiful place to experience serendipity. The geyser erupts every 40-70 mins. It’s good experience and worth watch. You can have a picnic here. They do have covered place to sit.P.S. it can get very hot in summers so plan your trip accordingly. Afternoons can get crazy.
