Is it a beautiful place to walk around and bring the family along too!

Magnificent, beautiful setting, a bit pretentious some of the staff.
Doug Ebbert
Beautiful home and grounds, definitely a sight to see.

We loved this place. The museum and building were not open but the grounds are open to public till sundown. We went to the top and walked the ridge trail to get the best views over the Hudson and the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. This trail was suitable for using a stroller. See you can spot the various art installations and scenic views. Bathrooms are available.

WOW! THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL! Must see (even if you can’t do a tour of the home) just walk around the grounds and take in the scenery. You can learn enough history, admire the gorgeous architecture and view a stunning overlook!!!

The grounds here are beautiful. The only thing to watch out for is the tours if you want to go indoors during covid. On the website, it said that indoor tours could be booked onsite if an outdoor tour was already reserved ahead of time. We didn’t really care about an outdoor tour, but we paid for one so that we could get an indoor tour at the door. However, by the time we arrived, indoor tours were sold out. Waste of money, and the website doesn’t say anything about this possibility.
