Oaklandish: Civic Pride by Design Oaklandish started in 2000 as a public art project designed to illuminate Oakland’s local history and unique cultural legacy. After years of covert multi-media stunts around the Town, the Oaklandish brand of apparel was introduced to help support our ongoing calendar of public events and annual Oaklandish Innovators Grant program. Our mission is to spread “local love” by way of our civic pride-evoking tees and accessories, while creating quality inner city jobs for locals, and giving back to the people and places that maintain our city’s trailblazer spirit. In line with this mission, we donate a portion of all proceeds to grassroots nonprofits committed to bettering the Oakland community. So, wear it well.

Cool Oakland themed clothing store.Small foot print, creative tees, and prices are relatively steep.Should have known considering the store is located in the heart of downtown Oakland, which is prime real estate.Customer service is friendly.I passed right by the store.Had to call in for help.The young lady that directed me was kind enough to walk out of the store and flag me down.Consider this if you are a first time visitor like me.The store, although opened, was actually boarded up. I mention this to explain why it was so easy to drive by.Another minor inconvenience is the lack of a designated parking lot. The only parking available is along the street, and it’s metered.Aside from that, it was a cool shop. They put some thought and care into the layout and design.

Best store ever. If you are an Oakland native or an out of town guest the clothing and accessories at Oaklandish are a must have. Super soft hoodies and T-Shirts in all sizes….Proud of the Town!!!

Great shop, friendly and helpful staff. Items can be pricey but are high quality and it’s a great business to support. Good sanitation practices amidst the covid pandemic!
