Is there a way to assign a negative star rating? This is one of the most corrupt and bureaucratic local governments I have ever dealt with. Their motto should be Making the easy damn near impossible.For instance, apparently the building permit examiners cannot determine that a house built in the 1930s does not meet building codes that were passed in 1987 and will REQUIRE you to higher an architect to draw plans for a house that has been there for 80 years, spend thousands to do so, and months of waiting, just to present it to zoning board so they can grandfather something in that predates the code by 50 years. Then after that the inspectors ignore the ruling by the zoning board and require everything be upgraded to meet 2015 code requirements on a house built in 1930. Forcing you to spend thousands more and lose more time.
