Located in the high desert and nestled in the mountains, the Museum of the Big Bend is a wonderful way to orient yourself to this vast and majestic place! The museum’s exhibits TELL THE STORY of how the cultures came together through our exhibits and artifacts. This museum is one of the most colorful windows into the past. As a construction professional, seeing the ceiling lattice construction was impressive. There are only a few of these ceiling built in the US.

We have visited this place before visiting Big Bend National park. Excellent exhibits. This gives idea about national park & model of national park gives you idea about visit. Cow boys life style is well displayed. Big bat & its one leg is on display. Small replica of various places are also nice.
