This is a huge and amazing repair facility for NYC Transit’s train cars. It has the ability to lift at least 30 subway cars 5 feet above the floor. There are hundreds of employees working here at any given time and makes parking a nightmare. This shop repairs and rebuilds numerous subway cars as old as 40 years old. This facility is open 24 hours a day and employs three shifts. It is a very old facility but well maintained considering its age.

Great place to spend 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Trains are roomy and empty. Atmosphere is usually calm, managers are soft spoken, during working hours you can hear a pin drop – they taking notice pollution seriously here. Workers are looking happy and well rested: they a fully ready for day, full of accomplishments.
