I’ve been coming to Mikey’s for years and it’s such a great place. Sam, his wife and son are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the prices are very reasonable for a local market. Their breakfast sandwiches are great, as are the fresh tamales they have in near-daily. More, the store is very clean and that they carry fresh fruits and vegetables makes this market a quick win when you don’t want to go to the grocery store.

Cute local vibe, good little deli and fresh baklava/tamales in the AM but beware. Be prepared to calculate the subtotal, pay cash and hold the woman behind the counter accountable because I have been shortchanged and charged the wrong amount (a different amount posts to my credit card than what’s on the receipt) three documented, verifiable times. They do not provide itemized receipts and so you might get dinged. Not to mention, she always tries to make me buy things I didn’t want or ask for. One time she even tried gaslighting me for a few extra bucks by claiming I owed her money from an earlier transaction where she said I could pay her back next time, of which I had zero recollection (that, or she said the extra baked good she piled on the tab was complementary).

Imagine going to Subway for……let’s say, a tuna sandwich. After you’ve eaten it, your stomach is doing it’s best impression of a pinball machine. Bummer. Well, it’ll probably be a while before you go back there again, if ever! But you still crave tuna. Enter, Mr Mikey’s Country Store. Simply go to the deli section of the store, and place your order. I like the tuna salad sandwich with fresh lettuce, tomato’s, red onions, and a few pickles. The result? Happy stomach.
