Milk Bar is a sweet (and occasionally savory) shop that’s been quietly shaking up the dessert scene since 2008. Bon Appetit magazine called us “one of the most exciting bakeries in the country.” But you can literally just call us Milk Bar. Founded by James Beard award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi, Milk Bar is known for inventing: the Compost Cookie®, layer cakes with unfrosted sides, Cereal Milk™ Soft Serve, Milk Bar Pie the first flip phone and shoulder pads (Ok, technically those last two weren’t us). Snag some standout treats and skip off to your next adventure.
Bakery for quirky, inventive desserts from lauded pastry chef Christina Tosi.

Soft serve was yum but a bit overpriced, I’d say the sweets are worth 3 stars.

My family had some ice cream from this place and they all got sick that night.

Crack pie, birthday cake truffle balls, corn cookies, and boozy milkshakes.

A fun spot and great to cross off the Places To Eat list while in NY. We went near to close and our slice of bday cake was still moist and seemed fresh. It’s of course a little pricey but it’s still worth the visit. The milk bar pie was super sweet but delicious. The soft serve with corn flakes was bomb. The girl at the window was so sweet and helpful. I enjoyed the entire visit.

They got this strawberry shortcake snap , that has a caramelized wafer , caramel , strawberry shortcake all dipped in white chocolate and topped with strawberries ! Since I’ve had it I’ve bought it everyday for the past 3 days (dnt judge me) . Despite my disappointment in myself (for my lack of self control) this is a nice establishment, also they always gives a free truffle with my order . It is pricey, but if you are looking to treat yourself, it’s a delight!! The milk bar pie is good, very sweet, but good and I like their blueberry cream cookies !

I came here knowing exactly what was expected. The famous milk bar pie, formerly known as “crack pie,” was 6 U.S. dollars for a piece of concoction that fit in the palm of my hand. With that said, You gotta get one or two slices for yourself, there’s no sharing. This tiny wonder of humanity packs a punch of flavor the size of the Empire State Building.
